The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is setting its sights on ambitious space exploration projects following the successful completion of the Chandrayaan-3 mission.
Isro Chairman S. Somanath revealed in an interview with CGTN that the space agency is exploring various possibilities for future missions, including the construction of a space station and long-duration human spaceflight.
"We are looking at all the possibilities after the success of the Moon mission." Somanath said. "We are looking at what kind of science you can do. We are looking at how the space station can become beneficial for the Indian space economy."
India is planning to build its own space station in the next 20 to 25 years, Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) chief S Somanath said on Friday. “Our Gaganyaan programme is towards a human space flight capability to space and once that happens, we will be able to look at space station building in subsequent modules," the ISRO chief said during an interview with China Global Television Network (CGTN).
The timeline for this space station project spans the next 20 to 25 years, he said.
